Ian trained for three years in homeopathy and medical sciences, from 1984-87, with The School of Homeopathy in Devon,one of the oldest such schools in the UK. He was first registered with the Society of Homeopaths in 1988 and has practised in Wales and Scotland since then, finally returning here for good in 2007. He was also a tutor at the Welsh School of Homeopathy and is still a tutor for Scottish and international students of the School of Homeopathy.

He has experience with treating many conditions and complaints and with people of all ages. Ian's practice is in St Ninian's Wynd, Dunkeld. Ian is also the founder of The Golden Centre which aims to give advice and support in the support, treatment and care of people with cancer, using complimentary therapies as adjuncts to other treatments.
