I have been using Kinesiology for many years, while working in othe r areas.
I first came across it when I was nursing. Years later, while I was teaching in a small private school where we promoted learning in a non-violent atmosphere with an emphasis on learning to learn, I saw how powerful its effects could be. One of my students who was dyslexic and very clumsy had made major progress in overcoming his problems using Brain Gym and Educational Kinesiology. This fascinated me and in 1995, I proceeded to take the courses offered and eventually became certified as a Brain Gym Consultant and Instructor. I used Brain Gym within school in classes as well as with individual students after school to help with personal problems and with learning issues. This whetted my appetite and over the years I trained to a professional level in 3-in-1 Kinesiology and Health Kinesiology. I have also taken many Advanced Kinesiology Courses including those in 3-in-1, Health Kinesiology, LEAP (Learning Advancement Acupressure Programme) with Charles Krebs, Neuro Emotional Kinesiology with Hugo Tobar and others.
On one seminar, while waiting in the queue for the loo, the ladies in front of me were talking about Reiki. I had read and heard of this, but never experienced it. So I asked, 'What is Reiki?'. One lady responded with 'Turn around.' She put her hands on my shoulders and a lovely warm flow of 'something' moved down my back. 'That's Reiki1' she said. Well, that's wonderful, I thought. So I followed up with Reiki training and offer sessions on their own, for relaxation and healing, or Reiki may come up as part of other work we are doing in a Kinesiology session.
Over the years, I have become enchanted by Flower Essences. Having used Rescue Remedy on myself for years, I was already familiar with the concepts when I began to use Essences more widely in the context of 3 in 1 Kinesiology. I now have literally hundreds of essences available. Some clients simply want an essence (or combination thereof) for their issues. This can be found in a number of ways, depending on the client and the essences. Through a discussion of the client's emotional state, needed remedies can be identified. Dousing with a pendulum or muscle monitoring may also be used to uncover the needed essence/s.
At times, Essences come up as part of a Kinesiology session. The client may need to take an essence or have it somewhere on the body during a correction. It may also be part of the homework that the essence needs to be taken for a period of time after the session.
I have taken courses in other disciplines, for example, Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Core Energy Management. These ideas and methods inform the way I work.
I have worked in a number of fields over the years: Nursing, Midwifery, Teaching, Business Consulting and Facilitation. Although it is most transparent in a formal school situation, I find that we are often placed in situations that require us to change, to grow, to learn. It might be that we simply need to take in new information, but we may also be required to learn new skills, new ways of thinking or feeling, or even ways of letting go. The tools and techniques I use help in a number of ways:
By defusing the stress around change (current or from the past), bringing equilibrium;
By re-tuning the energy system to a more harmonious level;
By channelling healing energy;
By encouraging insight into the problem/issues;
By allowing fuller access to whole brain thinking;
By the integration of thoughts and feelings;
By providing tools for the client to use for themselves.

With such a wide variety of ways of working, I am able to offer each person very individualised help toward living more fully, no matter what the issue. Sessions run from 1 to 1.5 hours and cost £28 Located in Pitlochry, Perthshire in the heart of Scotland.
